Yea, I know, all you haters have at it, I'll wait until you are done.....
cue Jeopardy theme....
Ok, thanks , I'll continue...I'm not sure if anyone heard his speech the day after the election, but he is a class act when it comes to dealing with people. He was very gracious and welcoming to our President-elect, inviting Barry and his family to the White House to have some private time with the President and First Lady, to help ease the transition into the office next year. Bush has also had a transition team together for months now, to also ease the changing of the guard.
Of course, when Bush took office from Clinton, he had no such welcoming. It was more of a "here's the keys, see ya later!".
I've also heard stories about how Bush treats people. Not just Heads of State, but regular folk like you and me. He treats them with respect.
Always has from what I've read. Makes sure he thanks them for any services they provided, individually. It is uncommon for most people that I've seen or dealt with to take the time to do the small things like say "thank you" to others because they are "busy". Busier than the President of the United States? I think not.
I haven't always agreed on what he has done, but it hasn't diminished any respect I have for the man.
Class act.
